Few metal formations can look back on such a comprehensive, multi-layered, and varied career as Rage. Founded in the spring of 1983 in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia, the band, led by singer/bassist Peavy Wagner, has integrated a wide range of stylistic nuances into their overall concept over the course of their long career. There have been releases with a strong focus on harsh thrash sounds, but also albums with anthemic power metal and β quite literally β works with a symphonic orientation. All of this and much more can now be found on 'Wings of rage,' the latest album from the three-member group. Peavy and his colleagues Marcos Rodriguez (guitar) and Vassilios Maniatopoulos (drums) have managed to summarize the versatility and experience of the 35-year band history in twelve current songs while also opening a new chapter.
